The University of Calgary Faculty Association – TUCFA
TUCFA proudly represents the 2,500 academic staff members at the University of Calgary. That’s the University’s Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Sessional Instructors, Professional Librarians, Archivists, Curators in Libraries and Cultural Resources, Counsellors in the Student Wellness Services, Heads of Academic Departments, Associate Deans, Assistant Deans of Faculties, and more.
We are a democratic organization governed by by-laws instituted through membership referenda. All academic staff members of the University of Calgary are members of the Faculty Association and eligible to receive its services. It is the exclusive bargaining agent for the members of the academic staff.
We encourage two-way communication between TUCFA staff and members, so if you have any concerns or questions about working conditions, bargaining, accommodations, etc, please connect with us.
Our office is now unlocked and open to visitors from Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 4:30 (closed between 12 and 1 for lunch). Please come by to say hello, introduce yourself to the new staff, and see some of the changes we are making in the office. Since our administrative staff work on a hybrid schedule, the office is usually locked on Fridays; however, staff continue to be available via phone and email.
