The Faculty Association is now accepting applications for the sessional travel fund for the 2023-24 academic year. The deadline for applications in the current round is April 30, 2024.
Sessionals can apply for funding to help with expenses, including travel expenses related to the applicant’s academic work or attending conferences, whether or not travel is involved. The nature of the travel or conference must be relevant to the sessional staff member’s current or expected work at the University of Calgary.
Sessional staff members are eligible to apply for reimbursement from the Sessional Travel Fund if they have held a sessional contract within the last five years and:
a) they are or will be holding a sessional contract at the time the expenses are incurred;
or
b) they expect to return to an academic position at the University of Calgary within the next year.
