The Faculty Association hosts a series of workshops throughout the year, each designed to give timely advice to academic staff members on a range of career development topics.

Tenure and Promotion Workshop

Due to the high-level of interest and response to the Faculty Association’s Tenure and Promotion workshops, the workshop scheduled for Wednesday May 23rd is now full.  We have sent confirmation emails to those who are registered for this workshop.

However, to deal with the number of replies, we have added another workshop date for your consideration. The new date is:

Wednesday, May 30th – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Main Campus)

There are still a few spaces remaining in the Thursday, May 24th – 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Health Sciences) workshop.

The content of the workshop is the same on all dates, you need only register for one.

This workshop is open to any academic staff member who will be applying for tenure, promotion, renewal of a tenure-track appointment, or transfer between the streams during the 2018-2019 academic year. Topics to be covered include: the process of applying, the criteria used, and how such decisions are made within the Collective Agreement procedures.

You must register if you are planning to attend one of these workshops.

To register, please contact the office by email, or by phone (403) 220-5722. As materials are prepared in advance for use in the workshops, only those who register prior to the date of the workshop will be permitted to attend. While we make every effort to accommodate all individuals, we are constrained by room sizes and encourage you to book early to ensure your spot.
